People in crypto often react to the market's volatility with very extreme emotions. The most aggressive players oftentimes have the worst relationship with money. Morgan Housel, the NY Times best-selling author of “The Psychology of Money“ shared his insights and observations on how psychology impacts people’s definition of wealth, especially in the crypto market.

🪙 Snoop Dogg’s son started a Web3 fund - Welcome To The block (WTTB). The Singapore-based investment firm, Golden Equator, has partnered with Cordell Broadus aiming to raise US$50 million for a Web3 fund to target early stage startups focused on CeFi, DeFi, and Web3 infrastructure. Their strategies include equity investment, purchasing pre-listing tokens as well as investing in listed tokens with high liquidity. Read more.

In November 2021, @jul1.eth and @ilyassramdani founded the company with one goal to create beautiful, meaningful ,and immersive virtual experiences with photorealistic graphics. It is built for communities to serve communities by providing new ways of creating events. According to the mindmap, their first collaboration event with Web2 and Web3 brands is at 80% completion rate to launch. They also started a weekly newsletter to share project updates, progress ,and challenges for anyone interested to follow their process.( Spoiler: I personally find the Blender 3d models are really fun to look at).
🇸🇬 Token2049 is in less than 4 days. In the center of Asia Crypto Community, TOEKN2049 Singapore is probably the most exciting crypto conference of the year. As part of the Asia Crypto Week, Founders, executives, developers and investors are travelling from all over the world to social, share and learn the latest insights in the field. There is also F1 Singapore Grand Prix at the end of conference week.
🗓️ ICYMI - Sept.20 was the first International NFT Day. Dapper Labs initiated the recognition of NFT Day in efforts to celebrate and remember the birth of ERC-721 proposal, exactly five years ago on Sept. 20, 2017.
🎵Web3 Music at the Moment
Although we are still in the bear market, the Web3 Music sector gained a lot of momentum recently. As it becomes more trendy for music artists starting their own labels using NFTs, companies that are focusing on Web3 music infrastructure platforms also received ongoing attention and financial support.
🎹 Arpeggi Labs, the on-chain Web3 music creation platform, has raised $5.1 million in seed funding from A16z. The platform builds a protocol to allow digital collaborations among artists and to encourage the reuse of the music with guaranteed attribution.
Venice Music, another player in the music creation and distribution sector, uses a hybrid Web2 and Web3 label service model. The platform was previously exclusive among a group of independent artists, labels, and brands, but recently announced that they are opening up the full-house service to anyone interested in building a career in music. They also launched an NFT membership pass “genesis“ back in June this year.
